I am simply astonished at the scientific community. You would think that by now they would be so far beyond the secular thinking from Galileo’s time. OK.. so let me try to get this through your heads – WE ARE NOT UNIQUE IN THE UNIVERSE!

I am just amazed when I see articles saying “there’s a pretty good chance there are Earth like planets out there,” or “the remains around this white dwarf show that there could have been planets much like Earth around it.” Hello? Are you that stupid? Think about this for a minute. There are TRILLIONS of stars in our galaxy alone. Do you really believe that Earth is the only habitable planet in the WHOLE galaxy? Do you really think that of the BILLIONS of galaxies and clusters, that each have TRILLIONS of stars, there aren’t habitable planets out there? Are you SO secular in your thinking that you really believe there ISN’T life out there some where?

Ok so some will say that they need PROOF there is life out there. Without this becoming a debate about Creation and Evolution let me ask you this – Can you show me proof that there is a God? Don’t say the Bible is proof. Anyone can write a book. I’m not being flippant about religion either. Here is my point of view. Yes there is a possibility of God. There is also the possibility we came from the primordial ooze. Neither has been proven with a shadow of a doubt so both are open possibilities.

Back to the original point of this; ANYONE that thinks we are completely unique to the Universe needs to be sent back in time because I am sure they also think the world is flat. Scientists are finding new worlds every day. They are finding worlds with water on them, they are finding Earth like worlds too. What amazes me is they seem surprised.

We are not unique. Ok, maybe other worlds that hold life have humanoids on them that are not 100% like us. Maybe they have an atmosphere that has more methane or hydrogen than ours does and they are adapted to those conditions. In that aspect yes we probably are unique but to think that there is NO LIFE anywhere else in the Universe is insane. AND there is no reason to believe that all intelligent life has to be humanoid. Look at dolphins and whales. They communicate and are VERY intelligent. I’m not going to say look at apes because they would fall in the humanoid category.

One more point about potential life if you will indulge me; Life does not necessarily have to be carbon based. We look for life based on what we know. In our little corner of the universe we are carbon based and that is what flourished on this planet. That does not automatically mean that is the only way life can exist.
